Will Windows phone 7 get GDR2, GDR3 or even 8.1?

Windows Phone 7 support ended on May 8, 2012.
Windows Phone 7.5 support ended on March 26, 2013.
Windows Phone 7.8 support ends on September 9, 2014.

Given that all WP7.x devices can run WP7.8, your device should still be supported. I don't really feel that the anger at Microsoft is justified - devices that were released in November 2010 received updates through March 2013 at the very least. Even the devices that launched with WP 7.5 received two years of updates.

Yes, most are aware.

You were implying that WP7 was "dead" because it uses a kernel that has reached "end of life". That is wrong.

My bad. I was saying the Windows CE kernel in WP7 is dead. They are not going to use that for Windows Phone anymore. Windows NT kernel is what they are focusing on right now for Windows Phone.
