will wp8.1 solve temp files/other storage problem?

My dear friend I have been using ios for past 3 years and never once encountered the problem of browsing and uploading pics consuming storage by dumping cache files and it was smooth even running 7.1 . So maybe it exists but its not a widespread complaint like that coz in my 3 years of lurking around ios forums I didnt come across this problem much.
even i have every ipad from the ipad 2 to the ipad 5 and this issue hasnt affected me but it has affected my friends and for me it hasnt been much as such but it never been permanent coz i keep re-restoring and re-jailbreaking etc
you misunderstood me :( ,im not calling ios bad but what i meant to say is that every os has it, windows phone is just a bit slower to clear the temp files , ios does it automatically,8.1 should too thanks to storage sense
i was clearing the misconception that this is something which only windows phone has, every os has it but windows phone has issues clearing it while ios does this better and rarely has this issue, android also has issues clearing it
believe me i love both ios and windows phone and i wouldnt put one beautiful smooth os down in front of another similiarly smooth and beautiful os:)

my hope is they will fix this finally.i know some doesnt face this trouble anymore. but for me after almost 2 months of usage my temp files in lumia 1520 is increasing at a rapid rate and iam not able to clear it.
the other storage {by nokia storage check} is more than 1 gb and temp files are reaching 500 mb after clearing the internet explorer cache and history.and im finding it impossible to delete it. at this rate in 1 year it will be a big chunk of storage.lucky the phone is 32 gb :straight: .tried the date trick and it messed up my nokia music subscription and didn't do any good too.
so i hope microsoft will finally fix this issue.

ps: i know some temp files are needed for quick loading and all and we cant delete it completely. but 0.5 gb after 2 months usage is messed up and i hope they fix it finally.

For your information the delete temp files button in WP8.1 ACTUALLY WORKS!!!!!

great news if true and will solve my only major complaint about the os.

With app to sd card feature too it will be great. As asked what is the source?reliable?

A tip for you, I too faced the very same thing but I just rebooted my phone after the uninstall and it although did not free up all of the space that ashphalt filled, it did free up about 500MB or so, dunno why!
And yeah, file management capabilities are not at par with other systems, I agree, but it keeps your OS safe from yourself. And want to know what, you can code your app to remove all it's generated data. But guess what, when you port an existing app to WP, that cleanup code goes missing and results in this ****. I can tell because I started developing for WP back in November of 2013.

PS: Keep an eye out for my upcoming Music Player sometime near June.

Even more of a reason of why microsoft should give access to other storage.
Giving access to other storage shouldn't be dangerous, what i'm asking is access to where apps temps files are, so when they don't go away with the app uninstalling, i can go and delete them myself, but ok, lets say you want to avoid any problem, microsoft is aware of this issue, windows phone was launched in 2012, is 2014, 3 gdr updates, an this problem has not been resolved, why they don't make an "other storage" cleaning app?, or even better, an app center that would list all of our installed apps, tell us how many is app data, and how many is app temp data, and that it would make sure that no unnecessary files where left begin, and no don't tell to use lumia storage check, the only thing it can delete(the lumia storage check) is the category "temp files", but "other storage" never shrinks, say otherwise, lumia storage check is useless.

If they don't want to solve this issue them fine, but give us bloody access to those files so we can delete when they aren't necessary anymore, in pc windows, when you try to delete a file that is being used, there's a prompt that blocks you from deleting it, microsoft could implement the same system in wp, lets say "file.asphalt8" is in the other storage, so to prevent any problems, microsoft should simply block the capabilities of deleting that file as long as the game/app is installed, in other words, make it read only, and them when the app or the game is uninstalled, automatically removed the read only atribute, allowing to be deleted.
And thus, in this way microsoft can protect the system from our selves, while eliminating the other storage issue.

.
LOL since that is the case i suggest they should keep the phone too to themselves.
no one would damage it.even though u accept the file management is not on par other systems ,since keeping os safe from users is the first priority i think they shouldn't give the phone to anyone.they are risking too much as of now!

Only different with iOS, you can reset it to what you had before.. with All the apps, settings, and even app data. The pain in WP is you don't get that, you have to set everything from scratch apart from data!!!
