Windows Central Question

Windows 10 and Canon ip4000 or MX360

Hello!

Has anyone experiences with Windows 10 and Canon ip4000 or Canon MX360? Are they working or is there no way to install them?

May you could also post if your experiences are with 32 bit or 64 bit. I've heard in the past that sometimes old devices are running at 32 bit one Windows Version longer than at 64 bit.

Thank you for your help and sorry for my very fine school-English!

The IP4000 will work with windows 10 64 bit using the windows XP 64 driver from Canon. Install the printer manually, pointing to the directory created by the driver .exe file.

Re: Windows 10 and Canon ip4000, do they work together?

I have upgraded to Windows 10 and am trying to get my old (still functioning) ip4000 to keep working.
I downloaded the XP 64bit driver and managed to install it using USB001 so that the printer appears in Control Panel/Devices and Printers.
But when I try to print to it, I get an error message that the printer could not print. The print job is stuck in the queue.
Also, when I plug the printer into any USB port I get the message "USB device not recognized."
I feel like I am very close but what is missing?
