Since my S3 updated to 10, I've got an audio glitch when launching apps. Its a second of static, then it clears up. Some apps don't like it and crash, some play without audio, and some play fine.

Anyone else have this?

Note: After upgrade I did a hard reset and started from scratch. updated fully.

I don't have a solution to your problem, but figured I would add my own audio issue with Win 10 on Surface 3 in case they are related. I get constant crackling through out Windows Video or Groove Music playback. The audio isn't so bad that you can't use the apps but it's definitely an annoyance that wasn't present in 8.1.

Same since I upgraded my surface 3 to Windows 10 this week. Usually happens when I have 2 apps running at the same time

I do have that too on Surface 3 with Windows 10. Wait for new audio driver. Many of these issues with Windows 10 are bad drivers.

Yeah - I got the audio glitch after the upgrade - then I tried a refresh - same. Then I wiped and reinstalled from USB - same. So I gave up and reverted back to 8.1. When the first big firmware update comes out (hopefully with audio drivers), I'll give 10 a try once more.

I had the crackling issue as well and it was annoying. However, I found if I turned off my audio enhancements (under sound in the control panel) and then turned them back on then the crackling was gone. I had the issue with both Windows 8.1 and then it came back after I upgraded to Windows 10, but this fixed it both times.
