Windows 10 Creator Falls 1709 update - apps not closing at shutdown

I have an app that says its still open when I shutdown. Bearing in mind that I didn't open it in the first place. It doesn't affect my PC, but since the update this is now happening every time I shutdown. I am not a wiz with windows settings etc, so if anyone knows a solution, I'd be grateful. Thanks
