windows 10 mail app will not sync

Windows Central Question

Sync of Hotmail email on windows 10 mail app was working fine on BOTH my desktop computer and my MS Surface.

All of a sudden - it will no longer sync on EITHER device.

Cannot get to adjust sync settings as it is greyed out and not selectable.

Cannot delete email and start over - app will not delete account.

Hotmail account works fine on web mail except that emails are not registering the correct time received on either device. If it is 8 PM here and my computers are both showing the time as 8 PM when an email arrives ... it shows received time as 11:00 PM.

HELP!!!!
