Windows 10 Mobile 950XL update error 0x800f081f, how can I update to 107?

I am trying to update my phone to new update 107 and in the end i get error 0x800f081f.

I see solutions to fix this for PC, but not for WIndows 10 Mobile.
The US release update did not work. Then I tried to enroll in insider program and that didn't work.

Please do not recommend a Hard Reset. This is my second phone, I tired of hard resets and spending hours and hours to organize my phone apps and settings. This experience with Windows 10 / 950XL has been a disaster. Too many hours spent trying to get bugs fixed, tiles not updating, phone getting hot, no idea how to update firmware, etc. I still scratching my head why I am still loyal to Microsoft after all this.

Please let me know how i can update to 107 without error 0x800f081f.

I don't mean to sound trite, but a backup before and a restore after the hard reset will save you hours and hours of the work you describe. I have the 950xl (dual sim, US model) and did not have a problem getting .107, but I've had to hard reset before and restoring my backup didn't cause any problems. Just saying... because I'm not sure what other options you realistically have.

With Windows 10 mobile, I have had overheating issues restoring back ups. Any other solutions besides Hard Reset. I am on the edge, almost threw my 950xl out of a car window today. It over heats, tiles don't work, it can't get updates. This is the 4th 950xl I have had. Issues with all 4. I have been a loyal microsoft person, but I think I am done. Microsoft really screwed me on this 950xl experience. I can't even get the 950xl to update to 107. No firmware updates. I am being used as ginnypig, I am pissed.

Did a hard reset, restored back up, tried to update to 107, still gives me error. What a joke!

Well, that sucks!! Sorry. I bailed on being an Insider a while back because of problems like this. Hit my 950xl with the WDRT and never looked back. Have since gotten firmware & OS updates without issue.

I'm have the same issue with my Lumia 640 XL. Did a Hard reset and everything only to get the same result.
