Windows 10 Mobile released for Lumia 730/735 (Officially)

I tried to ask Verizon when they would release it and they exited the chat and refused to answer.

I was on the Verizon support forum and someone posted a chat they had with a Verizon rep who said they are trying to push it out by the end of the month. I think the post ended up being taken down by verizon for some reason. I also saw a tweet from verizon support saying they are working on the update but no release date yet. I'm on a Verizon Lumia 735 waiting for the update as well

i'm was on insider preview and i have a doubt if my firmware is updated or not.

Can anyone with a 730/735 get the notification LED to work? Go to settings => systems => notifications => scroll to the bottom of the screen to activate the LED settings.

Hello, just curious what firmware and OS version do you have? the "LED" option is nowhere to be found on my phone. It is nice to see it is listed on your phone. Hopefully this feature is coming soon. This is a big feature that i miss daily.

I believe the setting was removed shortly before the official rollout. Hopefully it returns/works with a future firmware update.

I'm getting the following message in the upgrade adviser on my Lumia 735 (Verizon Wireless):

The Windows 10 upgrade isn't available for your phone right now. We are trying to determine if your phone can support Windows 10.

I'm confused though because I have 1 GB of RAM and the 735 is listed on the list of officially supported devices. Anybody else seeing this message?

Yup, you got it right. The LED notification bulb needs a firmware update for activation. So, if Microsoft does not provide a firmware update then there is no chance of notification bulb getting activated.

Any information or rumours on what phones will get firmware updates?

Does Lumia 730 have a LED notification bulb, in the first place? Maybe I'm ignorant. I own a L730, but have never known about it!!

Strange. When I first checked the other day with my Verizon 735 it said that my phone was eligible and there was an update available. Now I get the same message you're mentioning. It changed.

Photos app and groove music app were a little bit chunky at first. But i backed up the content and did a formatting of the sd card and restored the files. Now there is no lag. By the way my sd card had some potential space lost in folders that cant be used. So it is better to restore contents to sd card fresh.

Very strange indeed and I'm glad to know it isn't just me. I'll do some more digging if I get some time today and report any findings back to this forum.

If you are on Verizon you are going to have to wait for them to approve the update to Windows 10 on the Lumia 735. If you want the update right now you can use the Windows insider production ring to get the update and start using it today! That is what I did and I am having no problems.

How do you get in the insider production ring and will it effect my Verizon usage? Also will I continue to get updates?
