I have Ativ SE. I'm going to keep this powerhouse phone forever. I've had them all from the 920 to the Icon.
Just for the principle I'll be pushing daisies up with this phone.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME PUT WINDOWS 10 ON IT.
I'LL SERIOUSLY DO ANYTHING LOL.
I've looked at this post many times and others but I can't find the files required to download. Links are all dead.
If I have to buy another phone like the 830 I'm going to Apple and I don't want to. I'd rather shove a wooden spoon down my throat.
My Ativ SE rocks. Design, specs, etc.
SOS.
Sincerely,
Diehard stupid Windows phone user...
I have installed W10M 1511 on my ATIV SE many times and currently I have Redstone on it. Honestly Redstone runs really well, cleaner and of course newer. I like it better. I do not use this phone at all except around the house. You can also reset this phone back to WP8.0 when needed as long as you do not screw up the Firmware.
XDA developers and Windows Central has been a great tool for me, so if you search for the below items it will be pretty simple to get accomplished. I am not going to repost or reinvent the wheel on the directions to use, so reference other links in this article for that.
Tools Used for the upgrade to W10M Threshold 2 and downgrade back to WP8.0:
CustomWPSystem_0500.xap
CustomPFD_0003.xap
Preview for developers installed on the SD Card
WP8_Binary_Downloader_Ver._3.54.exe
SM-W750V VRU0ANC2_R_signed.wp8
SM-W750V_VRU0ANC2_R.csc
--Tool used to upgrade to Redstone if you lose the Registry editor while on Threshold 2 EDIT/UPDATE
when I reset my Ativ SE on the redstone build it boot looped, but it was do to me replacing the sim card/sd card reader then resetting it. I have since reinstalled WP8 and upgraded again to W10M build 1607 and reset the Ativ SE and no issues).--
InteropTools App
In a nutshell to upgrade to W10M Threshold 2 you just need to be able to initiate and change the Manufacturer to NOKIA the Model to RM-927 (which is preferred).
To upgrade to W10M Redstone you just need to be able to initiate and change the Manufacturer to Microsoft the Model to RM-1118 (which is what I used) or any other X50 device model name EDIT/UPDATE
