Window's 10 on Surface Pro 3

So I just upgraded my Surface Pro 3 to Win 10. I'm seeing that by default the text size is set to 150% and on my desktop icon's the bottom row of where there would be icon's is empty. So I only have 7 rows of icons. And as I type this I just changed the icon size from medium to large, and then to small and back to medium, and now the icon spacing is back to normal and I have 9 rows of icons again. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue?
