Windows 10 - start screen/menu gone 10041 sp2

Hey, installed the 10041 iso, ran windows updates and now I have lost my start screen/menu.

Anyone else on surface pro 2 received this?

Reboot does not solve this, I think it went after an update...

I also have this issue. Updating to 10049 didn't fix it. When I press the start button it brings up a search bar. The search bar is stuck on the screen at all times and it won't go away. If I restart the bar goes away, but it comes back as soon as I press the start button. Even when watching full screen videos the search box is still visible and I can't access the start menu at all. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Which version of sp2 do you have? Mines i5 1.6 8gb 256 ( to check if similarities are there too) I had to go back to 8.1

Got the same problem just started a thread myself. I'm using a SP3 128GB Couldn't wait for an answer so am refreshing the device. I installed 10041 which was fine, and then suddenly it stopped working, as someone mentioned, it must be due to a downloaded driver.
