Windows 10 Threshold 2 update?

With the release of threshold 2 supposedly a week and a half out will the threshold 2 update improve the overall performance of windows 10 on the surface pro 4 or is it more of just introducing new things? For those running the betas I would assume you would know best.

For me the insider preview has already improved the trackpad. It's a complete fix for my scrolling issues. Some things still linger like the screen flicker issue in Edge, bad battery life etc...
