Windows 10 - Where are App Settings?

So here's a stupid question (probably), but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere for it. In Windows 8, I would simply swipe from the right side of the screen to review any settings for the app that I was in. Clean & easy. Now that I am in Windows 10 (Tablet Mode), I see no way to reach the settings for most of my apps. My apps for RSS feeds, ebooks, weather, etc...no way for me to reach the settings or navigate thru the app like I used to be able to. When I switch over to desktop mode, I see the 'bar' appear at the top of most of my apps that give me access to some (not all) of my app settings. But that promptly disappears in tablet mode.

What secret new method am I missing?

When in the app, swipe down slightly from the top, and you should be able to see the hamburger menu on the top left corner
