Windows 11 Pro System Update file fails to install ..........

Hello,

I have a Windows update that refuses to install and I hope to either get the update to install correctly, which I suspect it won't install, or remove it from my PC so it stops showing up and trying to install only to fail, but how do I remove it if it truly is not correct for my HP laptop.

I have attached 3 screenshots that show the issue,

Dear, some of your system file is corrupted as far as error code "0xc1900401" is concern. I suggest running SFC tool and then DISM tool. this update problem will be resolved. in case it doesn't work for you then you also have the option to clear "Windows Update cache" then definitely your problem will be fixed

1. Run command prompts as administrator.
2. Type the command sfc /scannow then hit Enter.
3. Let the scan complete and it will automatically fix if there would be any corrupted data or integrity violation.

Now restart your computer and again...
1. Run command prompts as administrator.
2. Type the command dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth then hit Enter.
3. Let the scan complete and restart your computer.

Now check for updates hopefully your problem will be resolved.

If this doesn't work, now clear the Windows Update cache.

1. Restart computer and boot up in Safe Mode. To boot to safe mode:

2. In Safe Mode, Run command prompt as Administrator.
3. Type: net stop wuauserv and hit Enter.
4. Type: net stop cryptsvc and hit Enter.
5. Open file explorer and go to C:\Windows and find SoftwareDistribution and delete this folder.
6. Go back to command prompt and type: net start wuauserv and hit Enter
7. Type: net start cryptsvc and hit Enter.
8. Restart your computer.

Now hit check for updates your problem definitely resolved.
