windows 8.1 update issue

I have updated my lumia 520 to windows 8.1 , after the update many apps got uninstalled automatically now, the issue is im not able download apps from store & Music +videos inbuilt app went missing . could you please suggest what to do?

When you update to 8.1 it resets your phone. Which means it deletes all apps you have manually downloaded. You may think some apps didn't delete. Those are the ones comes with 8.1 update (ex. Skype)
I don't know why you can't download apps from store.
And music+video is an app for windows 8. In 8.1, they come separately under music and videos.you find those two apps in two places.

my apps after the update just reinstalled without my intervention.
I have a htc 8x.
the only thing I had to do was clear my temp files, which recovered 4 gb of storage
