Windows 8.1 with HTC 8XT phone.

Hello. Just bought my wife a Windows 8XT phone yesterday. My 8XT updated to 8.1 preview last month, but the new one is not finding the update. Preview for developers is installed and she is registered. Any reason why she is stuck with Windows 8 big K have 8.1 on the same exact phone?

Windows 8.1 developer preview has been disabled for the HTC 8XT. You probably got it before it was disabled, if you were to have your phone rolled back and then try to install the new developer preview then it wouldn't find anything.

The update messed up a good portion of 8XT's so it was blocked until a firmware update can be created. Once that is done, those phones will be able to proceed and join the other phones in "developer preview" land.
