I don't think resizable apps (like your file explorer) have a place on touch screen devices.

Other than being a bit too black-and-white, I quite like it! I especially like that Cortana is making herself at home in the bottom right corner.

I really like most of it but I think people are used to the close x being in the top right and what are the other icons for next to the close icon?

That icon (next to the close button) turns the app into a full screen app, like what Apple did starting in Lion.

Looking at the visual concept demo, it doesnt look bad at all. The main issue I think we all have that many future devices will probably have touch screens. To make ends meet with a seamless end user experience I think ALL THE BUTTONS AND ICONS NEED TO BE BIGGER.
