This picture I've assembled from three individual pictures taken with my Nokia Lumia 1020, this summer, in a rural region near my town of birth. A big Romanian river named Siret flows nearby but these pictures I took on the banks of a small adjacent channel.

The panorama was stitched together using Microsoft's Image Composite Editor.

Why I decided to take these pictures? Because I really liked the view, the lighting and the serenity these pictures inspire. It was a beautiful, calm Sunday morning. It was quiet, only a frog now and then, broke the silence. The scenery simply asked for a picture.

The original image can be found here: https://flic.kr/p/sZ9YVb

I'm uploading here the resized version of it.

P.S. Here is my Flickr album containing photos I took with my Nokia Lumia 1020: https://flic.kr/s/aHsjZdaWFY

Taken with: my Lumia 735.
Edited with: Lumia Creative Studio.
Date taken: 28/10/2015.
Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire, UK.
Instagram: celliott1997.

Probably not the most exciting story, but I had recently created an Instagram account, and as I was walking home from my friend's house, I thought "Oh, that looks like it could make a good picture." I took the picture quite quickly, while there were no buses, cars, or people in the shot, and opened my photos app to have a look at the photo. At the time I didn't really like it. I thought it looked a bit poo, but kept it regardless. Then, about a week later, I was just browsing through my photos, and thought "Actually, that does look quite good. Maybe it could be enhanced with some filters, though." This is where I decided to try on all the filters. Once I'd found a good filter, I thought it actually looked really good, so decided to post it on my Instagram.
As I said, it's an amazing story, right?

Sorry for spamming. It requires me to post at least 10 posts in order to post my BEST SHOT.

Actually it doesn't require 10 posts. Normally it does and Apps like Tapatalk give you that warning as a stock quote, but in the case of the Photos Contest Forum the rules have graciously been changed to allow you to post your picture on the first post.

You are alright, Albert. I simply cleaned up the spill...

And in case of any SPAMMERS or jokesters taking advantage we patrol the area regularly and WILL use the following appliance as needed:

*Note this photo is NOT a contest entry even though the man is likely au natural beneath that kilt. :winktongue:

Hwy39-_cyrstallake2.jpg

I'm a road cyclist. This is the climb up Highway 39 up to Crystal Lake. You ascend over 5000 ft in about 20 miles, working your way up through all those roads and mountains to get to here. It's the toughest climb in Los Angeles county but also one of the most scenic. I shot this with my Lumia 920 using Lumia Panorama and Adobe Express filtering/adjustments.

I took this photo early one morning from the top of kunanyi (Mount Wellington) in Tasmania. It was taken using my Lumia 1020 and has not been edited or processed. The mountain has an elevation of 1,271 m and below the cloud line is the capital of Hobart. This was a particularly weird day weather wise. As you can see the cloud cover is lower than the mountain peak and it was a truly miserable day below it, but a beautiful day above!

I have never taken part in these contests, but I guess it's good time to start...

The picture below was taken with my Lumia 620 on auto mode in April of 2013. I had just recently got the phone as a present and was testing the camera and software. So, I went outside to my family pear tree and was jumping up and down to get a photo of a branch. I think it took me almost an hour before I got the picture posted below (I had a lot of free time). After breaking my Lumia 620, I only have the edited version (from the Adobe Photoshop Express app) of the picture, which was saved in OneDrive.

Edit: I think I found the original! (But it looks similar to my edited one...)

Taken with the Lumia 1020 - 1/158 f/2.2 in natural light of the Las Vegas sun. Gorgeous how the 1020 can rock a photo.

This photo was taken during my trip to Queensland Australia. The place is called Maleny Botanic Garden. From the garden itself you can see the famous Glass House Mountain of Australia. It was taken on a good sunny day with my Lumia 1520 and no editing.
