Just updated w10 from 10.0.17134 to 10.0.18362 - now VLC 3.0.6 immediatly crashes.
the window 10 player also crashes.

BUT I have a copy of VLC Portable 2.2.4 weatherwax it work fine playing.

I'd suggest the K-Lite Codec Pack, which comes with the Media Player Classic. It's much more reliable compared to VLC and the built-in Windows Media Player.

I used to use that many years ago. For me though, now I use either Kodi or VLC, but you are right that Media Player Classic is still great to use.

Try downloading it again from the official VLC page I linked to in an earlier reply. I've been using VLC for years on Windows 10 with no issues.
