As the 'ambassador' has stated, there's lots of rumours with no set dates. Thoughts currently are 1st quarter of 2014 but we can't be sure of that.

What we know at this time is that GDR2 will be 'sometime' in the summer (July/August). We've heard 'rumours' of GDR3 being 'later' (November) this year. Which puts 8.1 (Blue) in 2014.

Now that doesn't mean that 8.1 could show up sooner instead of GDR3. We simply don't know as we have no road map from MS. I would personally like to see 8.1 come out this year but I think they want to get it 'right' so it wouldn't surprise me that it will be 1st quarter 2014.

Like find it likely early 2014 to be honest. If its that long I think there's gonna be tones more features than wp7.5 alone

I'm thinking 2014 is correct too. Let's hope they bring out a lot of features and even ones we're not expecting. That would be good.

iOS7 due for fall...Apple probably working on new devices for early nxt year..Samsung is already out with certain devices...this fall is good time for MS n Nokia to strike with WP8.1, high resolution phablets and newer Win8 tablets..take the market by storm...I hope this comes true..

its going to continue to be difficult to storm anything, with ios and android launching new phones and oss when school starts back....

If it happens this fall for Windows phone 8.1 fine. But if it isn't ready until Spring of 2014, then 2014 it is. Don't rush it out the door if it isn't ready for prime time.

If this update is 2014 , Then WP8's last update would be that one since support will stop from 2014 July or something.

That sums up Lumia's major updates with Portico , Amber and the Upcoming update (I think MS would save everything for Blue)

Nokia will still support us with updates across all their apps and etc.

Updates will stop in July 2014 but not support, right? Microsoft has said that WP8 devices will be upgradeable to the next major version of Windows Phone.
