I am curious if Microsoft or anyone else has released any insight on what features the microSD cards will offer? I really hope it's not just typical boring ole media storage.
To me, these are very important questions because I likely will buy extra storage. Especially if more phones like the Lumia 820 really ONLY come with 8 GB on board, which if true, is pathetic for a mid-range phone in late 2012!
Thank you guys for any information!
- Can apps save data to them? ie: Can an app like Spotify store offline playlists on it? Or any other apps that might require huge caches.
- Can it add to the on board system memory and be used for the OS? Or does it have to be separate?
- Does it support SDXC?
- Is it going to require Class 10 rated cards to keep the phone from being sluggish compared to the on board flash storage?
- Is it going to drain the battery noticeably more because now the phone has to read/write to two separate flash storage chips?
