Windows Phone is dead

I would say that I regret reading, but it is what it is really. I didn't read the comments though, because I'm sure it makes the article look great.

There are options.

One can choose to be optimistic, ignore of this kind of talk and just keep loving their device because it does what they want and need altogether or for the most part. Or one can like the platform but just choose to explore their options, and from there, decide if they wish to stick with the options or WM. Or the other one is to take this kind of talk into consideration, make note of how WM barely meets or fails to meet their needs, and just watch from afar, hoping for the best for the platform, along with improvement.

I think I nailed the types, aside from the former ones putting down the platform and who used to be part of it. As for me, I was strongly type 1 for a while until these numbers appeared. I am possibly transitioning to type 2.

Is the Windows Phone dead??

I recently purchased a lumia 950 xl from Microsoft. Then I read the Windows Phone is dead. Did I make a mistake with purchasing the lumia 950 xl?

Re: Is the Windows Phone dead??

Before buying a 950Xl you better try to buy a battery for it from MS Stores:unhappysweat:

Re: Is the Windows Phone dead??

No, it is not dead. It will still be developed for the foreseeable future. The 950 XL is an awesome phone and you will enjoy it.

There are lots of people that have been saying windows phone is dead for years. They don't understand how Microsoft is working. Look at the surface, more than 2 years of failing then surface pro 3 which was a success.

Re: Is the Windows Phone dead??

I wasn't asking if my Lumia was dead. I was asking if the windows phone in general was dead.

It's not dead. But why even debate it? It's usually an an attempt to thrash Microsoft, even after they've entirely re-trenches. It's not a new concept. If you have watched and listened, Microsoft's plans are clear. Regardless, time will tell.

You already bought it. You might at well try it.

If you've been around WPCentral for the last few years and been reading the threads, you've discovered that (according to the posters) Windows phone has been dead for years.

The future seeing posters gave Windows phone a year to live over 5 years ago. Yet, I just used mine a few minutes ago and it worked great.

And you are basing the fact windows phone is dead by an article from the verge...😂 makes me want a windows phone even more lol

Come on people it's the Verge. According to them something is either an Awesome Apple Product or a dead thing you should ignore. No in-between.

Considering I've bought another 2 x 950xl's for family members I wouldn't consider the platform dead. It's the verge what do they know. Next they will be telling us they have found aliens
