It's not apples to apples comparison. Amazon FirePhone still runs on Android while WP is an OS.

It could have sold well, but the whole thing is a gimmick. They simply didn't bring a product to market that people wanted. And it's priced too high, in alot of people's eyes.

Honestly, free Prime is the only real benefit to it, IMO.

Being locked to a carrier doesn't help their case either, also it became a bit more usable after the first update, until then it wasn't even a real product from what I hear. It did pop up for sale on another site I frequently visit and did not have any takers....

It was simply a shoppers delight! A wet dream for all the shopaholics...but come to think of it, how many people ACTUALLY shop so much? The margin is even smaller when it comes to selling their current phone for this...and, from what I understand, iPhones are damn difficult to let go. And that too for a "forked" Android device...
