Windows (security) Update and Store stuck in limbo Build 14393.1000. Solution?

Hi,

Running into my first major snag/bug in windows 10 insider preview Version 1607 build 14393.1000 for slow ring pc/tablet.

Issue:
1. Windows update won't update and download new security, cumulative and new build updates.
2. Windows store will not download new app updates since update to 14393.1000.

special circumstances:
had difficulty updating from 14393.187 to 14393.1000. Used the official Microsoft registry patch dd 6-10-2016 to update. It worked.

Since 6-10-2016 no new updates on both windows update and windows store.

1. Windows update stays stuck on installing windows security definition update KB2267602 (definition 1.229.1054.0) indefinitely. Windows update has no refresh button. Windows system restart does not resolve the issue. Even tried updating via update tab in defender app, but the update doesn't progress beyond the 50% mark of the progression bar.

2. Since 6-10-2016 tried several times to check for app updates by opening the updates page and pressing "check for updates". The progression dotted wheel keeps turning indefinitely, but no matter if I wait 5 minutes or an hour, nothing happens. System restart does not seem to resolve the issue.

Anyone else running into this problem. Anyone have a solution/fix? Would a retry back to .187->repatch->reupdate to .1000 help?
Have already reported this to windows feedback. Still no comment from Microsoft.

Solution spontaneously resolved itself....after 14 cycles of repeated download-install-uninstall-system restarts over the span of almost 2 weeks. Windows weekly did a podcast on this issue a week ago.
