Hello devs,

I am looking for a web designer for a brand new website and then on to a windows phone app. Nothing is final yet, in fact it is just beginning. Laura (lak611) asked me to post here.

Here is the website in a nutshell. Users submit app ideas, other users vote on it, highly rated apps are made better, then developers bid to make the app. The developer then works with the app creator to design the app in a way that works smooth and will sell. If the app is good but no developer is willing the company will work with the app creator and hire a developer to make the app.

Multiple options exist from the company funding the app 100% to the developer / app creator splitting costs and profits.

It is a way to match people who may have good ideas but not much technical background with those who are tech savvy but don't know what the marketplace wants. I call it wipostarter, short for Windows Phone App Starter, similar to KickStarter. It also allows normal people to benefit from apps financially and creatively.

Let the market sort out which idea is killer. Capitalism at work.

Please contact me on this thread, through private message or on twitter at inside_man_55.

Thanks!

I can look into designing a basic framework for the app, including a user interface, but as for the nitty griity and making the app work, this will require a more experienced developer.

Terrific thanks Paladin, I have an idea what I want to do, similar to what Jay has done with the wpcentral app. I will draw a mockup and send it to you. The user interface is the hardest part to get right in my mind.

Great starting point. I'll work on a phone interface in the next few days.
Thanks Paladin! If you are able to add in squares (like the wpcentral app) for idea room, enhancement room, auction room, and help for the home page.

In my mind, the idea room will have squares for home, enhancement room, auction room, help.

Similarly, in my sketch, enhancement room will have home, idea room, auction room, help, and so on for the rest of the rooms.

I also like the idea of the forums, perhaps using Disqus.

I am open to new ideas, I don't want anyone to think I am dictating, I want to see all the ideas and choose the best. For some reason, I am more excited about this idea than my job.

Well, I have started the KickStarter project, still working out the details. Don't know how much I'll need to create an app or how long it will take. I don't know what rewards to give either. Any ideas? Has anyone done this before?

What features would everyone like to see in the app? I want to segregate them out into versions so people contributing know what to expect.

Here are some ideas:

1) Forums
2) List of app ideas by user, time remaining, popularity, and app idea name (similar to the people hub)
3) Funding for highly rated apps
4) Various in app medals for different amounts of participation
5) Windows 8 app section
6) Liquid Daffodil Notification Center
7) Paid vs. Ad Free?

Thanks for looking everyone. Thank you Laura, Paladin, and Adorath for the support. : )
