As soon as I found out my Icon comes equipped with wireless charging. I wanted to get one. I heard soon after Microsoft were giving a wireless charger when you purchase an Icon. I, however, missed that time frame.

Now I have two to three chargers for my phone. Is there a reason to get a wireless charger plate? Anything different versus plugging the phone to the wall?

The advantage of wireless charging is the convenience and less wear and tear on the microUSB port.

I have a Fatboy charging pillow for my 920, and it's nice to just plop my device down on the pillow on my desk while I'm working, and not have to bother plugging my device into anything. It's also nice, since I don't have to worry about cords getting tangled if I get a message or a phone call; I just pick up my device off the pillow and then put it back on the pillow after I'm done using it.

I like it. Its a single gesture. Place it down on the charger. If you are a person of efficiency, get it. Its always visible and has a designated home. I still use USB chargers when I'm browsing and charging.
