Working on an app that has a Grid of buttons in a scroll viewer. Many of the buttons are down, off screen. So lining them up, editing, etc is frustrating because you cant actually see them. Design view, does not allow you to actually see the content that is not on the Windows Phone screen. Anyone have any tips on making this easier to deal with? I dont know why they couldnt have done something to allow you to view things not on the screen.

Perhaps I should, but seeing things visually like this would be much easier and less time consuming then tweaking, running emulator, tweaking, etc etc etc over and over. I do see that if I select View, Show Object Boundaries, and then click on a single button with in the Grid, I see an outline of all of the buttons. So I guess that helps a bit

I'm pretty sure there's an option in the Device tab to turn off the clipping. I'm at work so I'll check later tonight.

It is weird that it won't show you because everything else moves, like if you go to the section in the code where the app bar is, the app bar will open on the screen so you can see it and the same for pivot control, if you select the next pivot header in the code it changes to show that one on the preview.

Hmm, there's an option 'Clip to display' (left pane, Device tab), which according to the help is exactly what you need, but it seems to have no effect on Blend for VS 2013. Does it work for you?

In fact, clip to display does work. It seems that scroll areas have their own clipping so you can't see it, whereas anything that is simply extending out of the device view will not be clipped unless you activate the Clip to display option.
