Working with Skydrive and Office files

Have a couple questions about working with Office files and skydrive on this phone.

I can't seem to figure out how to create a new word/excel/powerpoint file from the phone.
Is there the option to change folder directory where the phone saves a file? Like if I do Save-as on an existing excel sheet, the only option I have is on the phone or on skydrive. I choose skydrive and it saves to the default folder of skydrive, not within the subfolder I was working in or the option to select.
I just learned that the older file formats for word and excel cannot be edited from the phone. Not a biggie since I only use 07 or 10, but still have some older unconverted docs around. Will just convert those on PC.

EDIT: got the first part. Found this in the 920 manual

Create a Word document
You can create new documents with Microsoft Word Mobile.
1. Tap Office.
2. Swipe to recent.
3. Tap .
4. Tap a blank Word file or a template.
5. Write your text.
6. To save your document, tap > save.
