Would you confront a phone thief?

Recently in the news the following story caught some attention:

I think I would leave this up to the law as far as I would be concerned since my age feeds fear.

Question is would you track your phone down on your own if stolen and your phone location was known?

I would try to track down the phone (May be I left somewhere in a restaurant ? ) if the phone isn't reachable or switched off I will rush to the nearest police station :smile: , you know the police

Contacting police is not an option India. They are very lethargic if we say we lost our phone they say somebody lost their Honda city.so leave it they say.if u lose your phone simple save nd buy a new phone.

Am in Chennai man.I know the reckless attitude of our policeman.my friend lost his iPhone 5s nd now he has started saving for iPhone 6.he has burnt his fingers with that theft.he commutes by train.so u know about crowd he lost it.

Umm but the should be a F.I.R cased in nearest police station. You may also get the same old no with the a amount/balance you have by going to the carrier centre , showing them a copy of F.I.R

I followed my GPS once. The location was saved before my phone died. When I got there, no one was there. Its was weird tracking down the thief. Probably a bad idea. Lol. Its a useful feature, but it can be put into bad use.

If i ever purchase an iPhone i will never travel by any public transport. I'll prefer spending money on my car.

I just said he cannot recover that phone he did not even insured. He was super confident nothing wrong will happen.some pickpocketer stole from his pocket very intelligently. Now he is using his laggy Samsung grand nd he is saving for getting perhaps iPhone 6 or 7.so don't think iPhone is not popular in.India.there are crazy people like him who will save nd buy iPhone.that will soon happen with large size iPhones. So iPhone 6 if launched in India will ve a smash hit.especially youth buy by saving money nd buy this iPhone's.nd also.iPhone's are now thief s target.

K but commuting daily by car will cost u petrol expenses.that's why I said all those who can't afford 6 lakhs on car now are trying to spend on phone.I think there is nothing wrong to travel by public transport but you have to be on your toes everytime while doing so.

^^ not everyone can afford iPhone , though apple tried to get a plastic iPhone 5c but alas it cost 37k₹. I have an iPad ( I can not afford 50k phone ) but I am getting the same experience with big canvas

Yeah now it has very minimum share but we Indians if we save nd buy phones every 2 year's or so anyone can buy iPhone. That's why Apple is expanding networks in tier 2 or 3 cities in India.if normal middle class persons buy iPhone think what about Blackmoney persons.iPhone has low share because of low ad in tv.once Apple can convince you that if you don't own iPhone you are missing something in your life's.then every one will buy one.

What experience with canvas. The quality of apps compared to os is pathetic like some people say.The thing that is preventing people from buying iPhones is due to small size.if Apple launchphones with 4.7 to 5 inch things will change especially in.India where people do a lot with their phones.

I do not know about iPhone's as I don't have one but getting iPhone 6 I heard android s app are very low in quality which is 1000 Times compared to ios.I do not know about that fact.but I know canvas series are laggy nd hangs nd restarts
