Wp 8.1, bt4.0le & ant+

Wasn't sure of the best place to put this, so as my own concern is my Nokia Lumia 925 here it is (Mods - please feel free to move elsewhere as appropriate)

Is there any confirmation yet about the enabling of Bluetooth 4.0LE on the 925? I seem to recall a firmware update in conjunction with WP8.1 might do this.

If so, are there any ANT+ capable features/Apps out there yet (or coming soon)?

Yes. From here: FAQ - FAQ - What is Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy and is it going to be available for my Lumia phone? - Nokia - USA

It is already available for 520, 620, 625, and 720 with Lumia Amber. With Lumia Black software update, Bluetooth LE will be enabled across the full WP8 Lumia range.

Unfortunately I think there has to be special code in at least one of the devices to get the benefit. So even if two devices both have LE it doesn't necessarily mean they will get any benefit.

Thanks for that. I thought there was something about enabling 4.0LE, just couldn't remember where.

Now, I just hope to see ANT+ capability so I can connect speed/cadence & HRM features into a cycling related app. Might work out cheaper than getting a Garmin Edge 810 at ?370 ($500).
