WP 8.1 lag problem

There's something i hate in windows 8.1 phone that when any app lag even the setting i can't open it again and i have to open any other app then open the app that lagged !! How can i solve that I have Lumia 640XL

First time hearing anything like that. Try soft reset, if doesn't help, then hard reset.
