WP 8.1, what is next to the wifi symbol on the home screen?

Maybe a notification? Sorry I seen this under recent post so idk what part of the forum it is, but if you're running Windows phone 8.1 the card is a notification (message, email, app update, etc.)

Probably a notification. Try a swipe down from the top of the screen to reveal the notification center.

Slide down your Action Center, it means you have notifications

It indicates a new notification had appeared in action center
