WP updates for unlocked phone

Hi im planning to buy either a 925 or 928 unlocked from america, i live in toronto canada. The question i have is that if i get either device will i recieve wp updates because neither phone is sold on any of my local carriers, so i dont know if i will recieve updates. If not i will probably save up and maybe get a 1020, i was hoping for the other two as my budget isnt small but i wasnt looking to spend much and both phones seem amazing for their price. Thanks for any help.

In that case you would only have to use nokia software updater for retail, and update your phone manually.

If you buy a country variant device, you get the updates directly from Microsoft/Nokia when they are available for the country you got the device from. Thing is, I don't know if there's an American CV.
