WP10 Update Question

I just got my phone from Amazon... I have it here, but I haven't gone to AT&T and purchased a cellular plan just yet. Can I still try to update the phone and do the hard reset without the Sim card in place?

I think it informs you to insert the SIM card before turning it on and using it for the first time. I'm guessing this sets up the cellular and data settings for your carrier during the initial setup.

I'm sure they can be edited later, or it might pick them up anyway.

Shouldn't be an issue. I did initial setup of my phone before going to Cricket for a SIM card.

Worst that would probably happen is complaining about no SIM when it boots up.
