features iOS 5 has that WP7.5 doesn't:

WiFi sync, DLNA mirroring, real accessibility baked. Those are really the big ones, not as much as I thought was missing. Hopefully Apollo address all of this and more.

Live Tiles. Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn integration. Visual Voicemail. XBox Connector. LTE. SkyDrive.

Not bad overall. The voice over option would be great for those that need it but I like what we do have that ios does not have like what was listed above.

Btw, did not intend to throw the list in anyone's face. Point is, every OS has its features. Wouldn't call things that you can't find on an OS a deficiency. Fords don't have OnStar. Great feature, but not a big deal.

Things WP can do that iOS can't (rolls out long scroll):

-Facebook,FB chat,twitter,LinkedIn integration
- ability to easily switch between mobile and desktop site redirections
-built in functionality of barcode,QR scanner, translator, music tagging.
- local scout functionality without an app.
-web browser that doesn't crash
-ability to stream music right from main music player
-office /SkyDrive functionality

I can go on and on, nice try tho.

You can wirelessly sync. Yeah you have to initially plug it in and set it up, but after that, wireless sync away :)

It goes both ways...

iMessage
SMS Sounds/tones by contact
Bold/Italic/Underline formatting in email app
Dictionary
Voice Recorder
Adjustable font sizes in apps (SMS for example)
Rotation Lock
AirPlay & AirPrint
Vibration patterns by contact
Equalizer for music app
Battery % in status bar
Built in Video Chat (no 3rd party app needed)
Text expansion (type ttyl and it expands to "talk to you later")
HDR Camera
WiFi Sync
Charge while powered off
WiFi Backup/Restore
Siri
Location based reminders
App Folders
Universal Search
PhotoStream (full sized images transferred to Desktop, as opposed to SkyDrive reduced size)
Notification Center (Toast notifications cannot be retrieved)
Send Video over MMS
WiFi while device is asleep (in area with no data, miss SMS/email messages)
Answer a call by swipe, not swipe and hit small button)
Recover deleted visual voice mail messages
Send vCard
Reader app in browser (Removes ads and just shows text)
Reading List (Syncs with Safari desktop, like Readitlater)
OTA OS Updates
Screenshot capability
Static IP on WiFI
Repeating missed SMS reminders
Desktop Bookmark sync (no 3rd party app)
64GB Onboard storage ('nuff said)
Retina Display
3rd party peripheral support = iPhone by a HUGE margin
App Store vs. Windows Marketplace? No contest...

While these are 3rd party apps, they are pretty key to my daily workflow:
  • Background Skype
  • A real Dropbox app
  • SugarSync app (SkyDrive cannot sync folders outside it's workspace)
  • A current version of Angry Birds :)
  • Slacker in background

No.. you can invoke a sync manually real easily. When the phone is plugged it, it will sync on it's own.

Yeah, I knew that. But he was talking about magical, so I thought he was referring to background wireless syncing, not manual wireless syncing. What's so magical about it if you have to sync it yourself? :P

You don't have to... the vast majority of users charge their phone overnight. iOS syncs (and performs a backup) automatically when it is connected to power, compared to WP7, that is pretty magical.

That was my point, that Zune also syncs over Wi-Fi when you're charging.

The only difference is iOS 5 allows manual sync without charging, and it can backup wirelessly to iCloud or iTunes.
