WP8 able to connect to virtal wifi windows7?

Hi,
Has anybody been able to connect WP8 successfully to a virtual wifi on windows7 laptop. I'm able to connect to the wifi but not able to browse internet on my phone, it worked on my android table after I used static ip on it but since WP doesn't support static ip, i;m stuck, just wanted to check if anybody was able to connect to a virtual wifi with any workaround.

Hi, I also faced this problem but solved through hit and try.
First Download mhotspot Software
mHotspot - Turn your laptop into wifi hotspot
Install and run it as adminstrator.Now start hotspot.If you are lucky it will solve IP address problem (you can see troubleshoot in mhotspot site also).I think then it will say to restart computer.Do it and again run mhotspot as adminstrator and now connect your WP to wifi. Now If you are able to connect to internet then its OK, but if not the you have to enable ICS

Dont stop the hotspot you just created
Goto Network and Sharing Center then goto change adapter setting
Right Click on the connection from which you want to share internet > then click on PROPERTIES > then on SHARING tab select wireless connection 2 or 3 , tick on ALLOW THIS NETWORK USER TO CONNECT THROUGH THIS COMPUTERS INTERNET CONNECTION then press OK .Check if problem solved.

Sometimes that ALLOW THIS NETWORK USER ..... is already ticked and you may not able to change wireless connection 2 or 3.
No problem ,in this case just untick it then press ok, then again go to properties->sharing tab .Now you can select wireless connection 2 or 3 ,tick that option press OK then Disconnect and Again connect your WP to hotspot check for internet connection.
