WP8 - Alternate announcement schedule

Hey guys, what would've been like if the WP8-related announcements were on a later timeline, like below:

October 10 - Nokia/Microsoft press conference (L920/L820 are revealed, release date and carriers are announced, but no price)

October 11 - Samsung issues press release on the ATIV S (release date and carriers are announced, but no price)

October 18 - HTC/Microsoft press conference (HTC 8X/8S are revealed, release date and carriers are announced, but no price)

October 26 - Windows 8 event (real date)

October 29 - WP8 event (real date); carriers release pricing info that day

Would the above scenario work in favor of or against the platform/carriers/OEMs?

The September announcements were way too early in an attempt to steal some of Apple's thunder. The above scenario would definitely have prevented much of the current "Nokia-gate" we are now seeing. Also working against Nokia is that the other manufacturers released carrier and date information long ago.
