So I have an interesting question... As most people know (or should anyway) the Xbox One OS is essentially Windows 8 at its core, but slightly modified for the dashboard experience. Since Microsoft stated that DirectX 12 is going to be written for Windows 10 with no backwards compatibility, and they also said the Xbox One will support DX12... Does that mean the Xbox One will be receiving a massive update sometime later this year to update the core OS to Windows 10?

They've already stated that what's supposed to happen, if I remember correctly, is in this manner:

1. At some point in the future, there will be an update to the Xbox One, in which the Windows 8 code will be replaced with Windows 10 code, but the UI will stay aesthetically the same.
2. At a later point, they will roll out another update to the Xbox One OS, which will include the aesthetic and functionality changes (game streaming and such.

That's how I believe they explained things.

Thank you for the response I could've sworn I watched all of what they had to say regarding gaming but I guess not.

I think that was something not said in the presentation, but rather something discussed later that day or the next, during an interview.
