XBox for Windows 10

I don't XBox One or XBox 360 console but i have good pc with nice hardware like 32GB RAM and 4GB DDR5 Graphics card. But i would like to play console like games. So my question is after upgarding to WIndows 10 will I am able to buy games from XBox store and Xbox Gold/Live membership and enjoy games on my PC?

From my understanding, but I could be wrong. You have to have an Xbox One in order to play Xbox games through the PC. It streams over the same connection, so I think your Xbox One(which you don't have) has to be on while you stream the games. Like I said, I could be wrong.

No, it's a streaming service over the local network. If you use Steam, they have something like it where you can stream your games to another PC in your home. Basically the same thing with Xbox one games...

You cant just buy a Xbox one game and drop it into your PC on Windows 10 to play, it wont work that way.

You can dual boot your PC as Windows/SteamOS and then your PC will be able to boot as a console and play console games fine, without needing to stream.

Truth be told, Most games that go to the console (some exclusives aside) come out as a PC version. If you have newer hardware, your system on your PC could look BETTER and play with a higher frame rate than any console right now and you can use a Xbox one or 360 controller on the PC.

Better looking and plays better ? Why would you really want Xbox one games on your PC ? Think about it...

Right and play STEAM games, Not Xbox one console games.

In fact after looking over SteamOS in detail, there is still a lot of compatibly issues on games, Not every game in Steam's library works on SteamOS,

So if you wanted the best compatibly on every game in Steam's Library, your better off installing the Steam client on your Windows computer, not dual booting with SteamOS.

Indeed, that's why I say dual boot. You can then play PC Steam games on your Windows partition and SteamBox console games in your SteamOS partition. I have no idea why a person would want to play console games on a PC, but then I have my own little quirks so I can just accept that some people want to do this. Fair enough.

Someone who does not want to buy a console. The OP's was hoping with Xbox in Windows 10 means that he could buy a Xbox one game and play it on Windows 10. As we know this is NOT the case and only way this COULD be possible if a 3rd party hacker does something to make that happen and I don't see that happening (ever).

The PC is much more powerful than any of the current consoles for games (depending on what level your on), Xbox one came out last year and the CPU in it came out a year before, so we are already sitting at almost 3 year old tech in the Xbox one and PS4. You could spend a few hundred on a new video card for your PC and blow away the graphics, sound and performance of any modern console..

And I hear ya on the little quirks....I got a ton too

Well, if we're talking about how I'd do things if I wanted a console experience then streaming is the way to go. MS have it the wrong way round though. The power, as you say, is at the PC end so there is no benefit in streaming from a console to the PC.

Consoles are for households that don't have a PC. If there is a PC then better to stream from the PC to the TV. I can do this via Steam to my tablet or laptop plugged in to the TV.

To do this very cheaply however, go to Steam and preorder a Steam Link and one or two controllers. You can then leverage the PC's power to play games on your TV and you'll never need to buy another console again.

It seems pointless, to me, to buy an Xbox or Steambox etc. if you own a PC when much cheaper solutions are far more powerful.
