Xbox Music Alternatives

So with the 8.1 update giving us a crappy music player, I figured I'd see if anyone has found a usable alternative. For this, I speak solely about local music playback.

I gave Nokia Mix Radio a try, but it's REALLY slow to load, so I'd prefer to find something faster than it. I also tried musiXmatch, but it sorted by track artist, rather than album artist (annoying if you want to listen to a compilation of multiple artists). I'm going to keep looking for other options, but if anyone else has something worth giving a shot, throw it out there.

oh i got a few, "Listen" is amazing! best music player i have ever used on any platform, "amazing music" is pretty good, "extreme music" is also great

Nokia mix, the cold start does take a minute but after that its not that bad.

I Downloaded listen but this app. UI confuses me. It plays songs randomly but idk how to find a list of all my music.

swipe in from the side for your left, you should see everything and i believe there is a help list

Aw thank you! I couldn't figure this out for the life of me. you have to swipe left from a specific point of the screen(middle). I was doing it at the bottom.

As do I. It really is a lot nicer than say Xbox music. And my music from iTunes plays.

yeah mine too, and the developer already promised a 8.1 update in the summer so i think it'll become my first choice music app

@micah @kingenu have you guys figured out how to import music from iTunes to wp8.1?? I use the desktop and it is just not working... Also do any of the apps you guys are using have a ' like' or heart function ?
