Xbox Music Live Tile not working Properly

No.i can assure you that when I was in 8.0,the artist image used to work properly whether the song was bought from the xbm store or it was downloaded from other sites(MP3 skull etc.). But now it doesn't...

Um, horses**t. I downloaded Rise Against's new album yesterday and the album isn't working.

In addition, my album art keeps not wanting to update for the next album. I'm disappointed with the update.

As has been stated earlier in this thread, ModernMusic is way better. I am a participant in the beta version of that app and let me tell you that the developer is extremely responsive. He is just one guy and he's made this wonderful app which takes care if the music needs in a far better manner than XBM. So yeah, **** MSFT and support him. He deserves it.

It DOES work outside the US. Not everywhere though. I'm in Germany and it's working perfectly fine.

And therein lies the problem. I think you'll agree. What kind of music player has restrictions (aesthetic, in this case) based on region? Surely this isn't a problem seeing third party apps can allow it perfectly.

It's very inconsistent, I have full live tile with artists like Linkin Park and Foo Fighters, but with Taking Back Sunday, The Sounds or Blaqk Audio, etc. I just get the scrolling name, even though they show a background inside the app.

Initially, I thought it had to do with some artists having 2 backgrounds (like Linkin Park), but Foo Fighters have just 1 and it shows, while TBS has 2 and none shows on the tile. They need to update this again and also add compatibility with the MPA Tool or let us add backgrounds on a folder or something.

You're right, I apologize. But yeah, it's a useless feature. I don't need to look at some tiny thumbnail picture to enjoy my music.

My live tile image shows for some artists and not others, It is showing images for music not purchased from XBOX. For example, inside the app I have background images for Iron Maiden and Slash, the live tile show Iron Maiden, but does not show an image for Slash? Neither music was purchased from XBOX. My region is set to UK.

A feature can be useless for you but not for all and if you think that folks asking for "Album Art on Live Tile" are moron, then you need to revisit your thoughts! XBM sucks and it has to be thrown away! If a third party app can provide all features like a native music player then its worth a try and we should appreciate it. Think about it buddy

Having the same problem, get scrolling names on the tile but no images, at least for the majority of the artists. The odd few have art on the tiles, but all have it on the actual app. Weird.

No artist picture on live tile for any music, whether downloaded from XBM or otherwise.
No background artist picture in the Music app or lock screen background - had this for one artist (Judas Priest) out of several hundred back with 8.0 but not anymore.
Region is Denmark and XBox Music is available here.

Edit: In addition, all the album art embedded in the music tag is rendered at a much lower resolution than it used to on 8.0.

After the latest update,the artist name that used to scroll on the live tile is not working. I tried repinning, doing a soft reset. Forget the artist image, the name isn't scrolling. It used to before the Xbox music update now.
