Xbox Music / Windows Phone 8 syncing is the bane of my existence

Just wanted to chime in that, having been a longtime user of WP7, and finally being so excited to get my hands on the Lumia 928, I'm devastated by how awful the music syncing experience has been.

Zune doesn't work with the phone. The options available to sync are terrible, have no ability to move "things I like" playlist over, my phone is telling me to buy things I've already bought when I try to do it manually over the phone.

My phone tells me things are in collection but when I play, it streams it (so glad I gave up unlimited data for this).

Needless to say, this is an atrocious step backwards in every way. Zune music was one of the few bright spots that MS nailed on WP7, and now I'm left with this mess of a music player/syncing experience. It's enough to make me shut down my grandfathered zune pass and say screw it to the 10 free songs.

Sorry, just had to vent. It's late, I've been scouring the internet trying to find a way to get music on my phone in a hassle-free way.

*sigh*

Microsoft did say recently that there is supposed to be a whole new Xbox music app in windows 8.1. They might actually fix it. Hang in there for one more patch. Then decide if you wanna dump it for good.

18 months later. Everything is still a disaster.

Still no gapless playback on my Lumia 630. Still get media error rights. The Windows 8 app still sucks.
