Xbox not grounded

Why on earth doesn't the power plug for the Xbox one have a ground prong?! I've spent hella money on this thing and I live in the lightning capital of the U.S. (Florida).

Kind of unnerving, don't you think?

Ground plug on the cord is not going to do a thing if your home or electric line nearby gets hit by lightning.

Ground on an appliance power cord does nothing to protect or filter power for the device. Ground protects you from electric shock on a broken or improperly wired appliance.

Maybe try a surge protector...

Grounded on UK plugs but that's a UK thing (our plugs are superior mwahhahahaha).

Surge protector is what you want, not too expensive either.
