thats it, is non negotiable, if you want to send the message about "pureview" this and the low light champ there, then start with forgetting the led flashes here, if i pay top dollar for a phone i want the best possible, not a bunch of words trying to convice me that this new led flash is damn powerful, give me the real thing

i bet there are a lot of angry L928 users that want to upgrade to the new 929-icon or 930 and there is a crappy dual led ruining the phone instead of the all mighty xenon flash

also it may sound childist but whats up with all lumia phones having ONLY a 720p front camera? cmon the 1520 and 930 are the only new phones with top end specs that are still at 720p in that regard, everyone else moved to 1080p already, and with good optics at that, when i see things like that i just wonder if nokia is that stingy to actually save a few bucks off some not very known parts of the phone, for me it makes no sense reducing 10-20$ off the cost of a 700$~ phone

Agreed, Nokia needs to learn to stop releasing new phones with missing features. You shouldn't have to choose between screen and camera, or glance and screen resolution and compactness. When you get a new iPhone or Galaxy, it's not missing 3 awesome features from the previous version. I'll stick to my 920 until they release something with 1080p, a good camera, built-in qi, 5" or less screen, and glance. I don't have xenon flash now, but if I did I would likewise not want to "upgrade" to something worse.

I went from the N8 to the 920 and I have to agree the led flash is nothing compared to a xenon flash. The 920 does take a really good low light pictures, but if I am trying to take a picture with any movement at all usually its not a good pic. I bought the 920 just before the news of 1020...bad timing. I am going to wait for the refresh of the 1020 before getting another phone.

Exactly! I'm still waiting on a real successor for my 1020. Right now, I'd have to "downgrade" (mostly in the imaging department) to get a newer phone. No Xenon? No 41MP sensor? No Glance? No deal!

I'll just keep rockin my 1020, with it's dual core processor, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage. I'm still very happy with what I have! The 1020 is easily the best phone (and camera) I've ever owned.. Oh, and I've been running the 8.1DP since it's release nice and smooth with no issues..

Aye, the 1020 is good enough for my needs. No need to wait successor. Some pro photographers says that if you need to use flash, then don't take any picture at all.

This is true, and while I hardly ever use it myself, its nice to have the Xenon flash over the LEDs when you need it.

coulnt agree more, but there times where you just don't have any other option, taking low light photos is a great feature on pureview devices but you risk getting a blurred image, xenon flashes eliminate that problem, also it is simply the only way to get some pictures, say a moving thing like a fan rotor, and then, a led flash does nothing of the latter, it just gives poor illumination, something high end lumias don't need, just crappy phones that cant take more than a black picture in bad lightning could benefit from a led flash

we need this message to reach microsoft's door, they too have the same problem, see the surface rt/2, the best tablet for me, really great hardware, but few know there is no GPS receiver there, these things get me real mad easily
