xfinity x1 remote app - does it work for ayone else?

I just got Comcast with the X1 system. I was surprised to find a Windows Phone app when they don't actually advertise it. However, I can't seem to get it to actually do anything other than list the guide. Any attempt to watch, record or control something results in an error message.

Anyone having luck with this?

It works well for me when it works, but as many reviewers have noted, it loses my channel lineup after three or four uses and I have to reinstall to get it back.

It always acts like I have not set mine up. Why it even needs to be set I don't know, it should come from the account info to begin with.
