The screen on my Surface 3 is starting to show yellow streaks around the perimeter and seems to be moving inward over time. It really shows up when you have a white background. I took it to our local MS store and had the tech look at it. He said that the glue holding the protective glass and screen together is turning yellow. Since it is out of warranty, they offered to exchange it for a fee. I declined and will used this one as long as possible.

This shouldn't be happening to a 15 month old tablet and appears to be a manufacturing defect in my opinion. He claimed the yellowing of the adhesive is caused by heat. If so, it must be the heat caused by normal use. I never leave it in a hot place. Disappointing.

I've never heard of a yellowing of the screen due to glue going bad . try a different person for alternative opinions
