If your OS is not RT and it's not since it's 8.1 with Bing, the OS that replaced the RT by being as cheap as RT but powerful as normal Windows... Yes you'll definitely get W10.

More like Windows 9.8. We've been down this road before. lol.

I don't understand what you mean by reserve. Its not like they're going to run out of free digital downloads XD

Well, they want you to 'reserve' is not a matter of running out of copies or not. It is a matter of easing the load on their servers. Since Windows 10 will be unlike the traditional Windows Update (Buy a disk and install, or upgrade from the OS itself), this time round is just updating your current copy. So the reserve feature will preload the software on your com before the 29th, and on the actual day you can just install it. This means you dont need to connect to their servers and install, and this will ease up their workload (just imagine, 1 billion computers trying to update/download at the same time... not the best idea). Thats the reasoning for the reserve

I've got an SP2 Pro and when I checked for updates last night, it came back as no updates available to install. And I don't have the little Windows icon in my tray. Not sure what is going on with that.

Guys can anyone reply to my comment... Is there someone who's having a problem to the windows 10 free reserve to theor taskbar? Because it's been 2 days I have not been receiving any notifications on my taskbar. My OS is Windows 8.1 single language with Bing.

Device: Hp 14inch notebook PC. P.s I've bought my laptop last year

Please do not worry you will be able to get the update.
It will still take several weeks before the roll out starts.

You need to install all optional updates and restart and then it should show in a matter of minutes
