Had decided to give my HP7 away again as I couldn't upgrade.

Picked it up this morning and noticed "Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant" was on the desktop so I clicked it.

Low and behold I now have 1607 14393.447 on the Stream.

This thing is as tough as old boots and refuses to die and it is the one device I can throw in my motorcycle top-box and know it want get damaged (And in truth it doesn't matter if it does), so now it is up to date along with my 950XL, SP3 and desktop, I will keep it and use it when I am at work on the bike (Not actually moving), keeping my phone safe and for calls etc.

Gave it away once, got it back, I had the box ready to reset it in preparation to go to a niece or nephew and now it's staying put again.................

For my initial ?75 this device pound for pound has been my best investment

That is good news. Have you had any problems with the update? I have stuck with 1511 for now, not wanting to have any problems from 1607. (agree that this little tablet is one tough little computer.)

No problems at all, I would reckon it's running as well if not better than it has before.

Ugh... some kind of Windows 10 update snuck into my HP Stream 7 yesterday and either my firmware suddenly went south or the update screwed up my battery. Now when plugged in (and I have used multiple chargers and cables to test), it does not charge, instead it discharges.... Now when I shut the tablet down, it charges, slowly, but it does charge. So, I can use it after charging over night, but then half way through the day I have to turn it off and let it recharge, not fast enough to make it useful.

Ugh.
