I have concluded Cortana is, for now at least, no more than an unreliable toy ... so unreliable one would not dare to demonstrate it to a non-Windows Phone friend for fear of looking a bit of an *****!

She doesn't give me the reminders I ask for and cannot interpret European words like "croissants" at all ... on the other hand, my Android tablet understood me first time, every time.

Frankly I don't give a toss how she sounds ... providing she does what she's supposed to. I think she's much further short of that than I had expected.

All that said, when Microsoft do get her working right (could be another year or so on the basis of current performance) she should be a v useful addition to one's phone.
