Zune not detected my 1320

Got a new Lum 1320, but my zune app is not detecting my phone. My laptop is in win 8 and when i connect my phone it shows as windows phone in my computer, but Zone says - phone not connected. I ve restarted my phone with the laptop still on, no joy. I ve restarted laptop with phone on - no joy. This is the 1st laptop my phone was connected primarily. I need to update my phone to 8.1, what are my options ?

You have to use the new window phone 8 app for desktop. Zune only works with WP7.x
